HTC Basics

This course provides the participant:
  • An understanding of the importance of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program in developing affordable housing
  • The information necessary to determine if households qualify for the HTC program
  • The ability to gather the extensive tenant documentation required for the HTC program
  • Relevant Minnesota interpretations of the federal regulations
This course provides the knowledge and tools to ensure LIHTC compliance at your property.

HTC Assets and Audits

This course provides the participant:
  • Information on calculating difficult income and asset sources
  • Tools for preparing for file and physical inspections of HTC properties
  • Knowledge on acceptable practices for correcting file deficiencies
  • Understanding of different rules during the “Extended Use Period” (Years 16-30)
This course provides the knowledge and tools to calculate difficult income sources and prepare for monitoring inspections.

Fair Housing

This course will provide participants an overview of:
  • Fair Housing
  • Reasonable Accommodations
  • Violence Against Women Act
  • Agency Law and Relationships
After completion, participants will have information that will help them follow fair housing law and agency law, process reasonable accommodations, and adhere to the Violence Against Women Act.
